This beautiful piece describes how Mary Magdalene remained faithful to Jesus even after his tragic death. When he appeared alive to her, he sent her as apostle to the apostles. Scored for SATB choir with descant, this beautiful anthem uses contrary motion in the voicing at the beginning of each stanza then transitions to the refrain's four-part harmony. The limited vocal range makes it accessible to small choirs.
