This simple setting of Psalm 67, for organ and duet (or two-part choir) has a gently flowing accompaniment. Using occasional mixed meter to accommodate word stresses, the piece conveys a very naturalistic feel, appropriate for the topics of creation and mercy. The tonality is smoothly progressive, starting in A minor and ending in the parallel major, with some cadences in C major along the way. Short whole-tone episodes add harmonic color without disrupting the overall mood.
