Peggy Contreraz has been involved in liturgical music since she was 10 years old, from children's choirs to adult choirs. She was director of the choir at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Billings, Montana for 30 years, then Director of Music when that parish merged with two others to become Mary Queen of Peace Church. During that time, she had music published by World Library Publications and OCP. She retired in 2018, and now participates as a volunteer in the music program.
